Ian Mcfarlane is an acclaimed photographer based in Athens, Georgia. He has been living and working in Athens for over 12 years. Ian came to Athens to attend The University of Georgia where he received his degree in Fine Arts. Ian has exhibited his work in the Southeast for over 10 years and is currently represented by Jackson Fine Art in Atlanta.

He is nationally published in such magazines as American Photo, B&W Magazine, Elle, Jane, Jezebel, The Atlantan and Nerve. He worked as the photographic consultant and custom printer for Michael Stipe of R.E.M. for many years, and has worked with other artists such as Outkast, Jennifer Nettles, Sound Tribe sector 9, B52's and Everlast.

Ian also was co-creator and photo director for Athena magazine for 2 years.

He is currently head fashion photographer for the New Buckhead Home and Life Magazine as well as shooting commercial work in the southeast.
